Contributions to Extension Circulars Disseminated Electronically: With the support of KSU Faculty,
we distribute information from social media, KSU Turf Blog, publications and other media via a weekly
email to over 1,100 subscribers on the K-State Turf List-Serve Newsletter. Information contained in the
newsletter is identified through communication with extension agents, reports from commercial turfgrass
managers, and the Plant Diagnosis Clinic. Information distributed is on current needs of homeowners,
extension agents, and professional turfgrass managers.
KSU Turfgrass Website – ksu.edu/turf - I have worked closely with KSU Technical Services and Faculty
to develop the new KSU Turfgrass Website (Website Launch – December 2014). This new and improved
website that replaced ksuturf.org. It is linked through the Dept. of HNR, KSRE, and all other appropriate
university pages. Without having to maintain an off-site webpage, the new website hosted by KSU will
increase faculty productivity allowing for faster posting, updating, and increased visibility when
information is being explored through search engines. Features of the new website include job postings for
professional turfgrass managers and easier navigation. The KSU Turfgrass website has been viewed over
86,000 times since launch in Dec. 2014.
