My Dear Members
The year is almost over and my goal has not been reached yet. I was hoping to take 100 new members in this year. With three months to go, I ask all those who promised to join, to do it now. I ask those who
took applications home, to bring them back now with the names of those you wanted to recommended for membership. Lets make a good effort to finish the year with goals started and accomplished. I thank you in advance.
The lodge itself could use some extra funds to cover all our expenses. If you are thinking of making a donation or provide for your lodge in your will and you need some questions answered, do not hesitate to call Gary or myself.
Some of you I have not seen for a long time. I will be delighted to greet you at the lodge. Please make an effort to come in and spend some time with us.
I hope 2012 will be a Happy and Healthy and Prosperous Year for You and
Your Family.
Greetings from your E R Hans Offenborn

"Food For The Hungry" The "Food For The Hungry" Program was implemented in August of 2011. Between the time this program was approved and the end of 2011, over 2000 pounds of food and over $907.00 in cash was contributed to
the food shelf. These contributions allowed us to help support over 60 needy families a month in the Holly-Navarre area. The Elk's of Lodge 2787 should be very proud of what they accomplished in support of
this program. We look forward to continuing our help in 2012. In other "Food For The Hungry" committee news, please note that the winner of the Elk's Lodge Charity
Drawing was Ray Yantch. Ray and his family won a "Christmas on The Beach" weekend stay at the Summerwind Resort on Navarre Beach. The charity drawing resulted in a
contribution to the food shelve in the amount of $273.00. Lyle Cater, Committee Chairman

Holley-Navarre Lodge Board of Directors The 2011 Supplement to the 2010 Grand Lodge Statutes spells out a significant change for incorporated Elks Lodges. To comply with that change to Section 16.020, your Lodge made provisions for a Board of Directors which assumes the powers and duties of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Directors is composed of the three Trustees and the four chair Officers – the Exalted Ruler, Leading Knight, Loyal Knight and Lecturing Knight. At their first meeting last month, the seven members elected Trustee Ben Gray as their Chairman. In the Statutes, you will find their powers and duties spelled out in Section 12.070. Formation of the Board of Directors does not change the fact that the Lodge is governed and controlled by the members. If you have questions concerning this change, contact any member of the Board or the undersigned. Fraternally, Beryle Farmer, PDDGER Lodge Advisor
Holley-Navarre Lodge is proud to be a part of the NW Florida Elks Riders, U.S.A. raising funds for

From the Editor… As the year ends and we move on to the new year. I would like to take
a moment to reflect on the great things from our Lodge in 2011.
According to our State President Frank Hayes only two Lodges in our District met the quota for new members, Holley-Navarre and
Pensacola Beach. Great job and keep up the good work.
Our Lodge took up donations to help the Tornado victims of Alabama. The POD company donated full use of a POD to collect donations, to be distributed in many hard hit areas of Alabama. Together with Tuscaloosa, Cullman, Birmingham and Roebuck, AL. Elks Lodges, many victims were helped. This even got our Lodge a mention in the National Elks Magazine. A special Thank You to all that brought donations to the POD and those
that gave monetary donations. It is such a great feeling to see the appreciation on the faces that had so many needs from a
disaster great as this one was. The devastation for many was a complete loss of everything they owned, some even losing loved ones. The
Tuscaloosa Lodge lost one of their long time members in the disaster. Let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers
as they continue to rebuild.
Lyle Cater started our Food Bank for the hungry. In which is still going on so, please do not forget your donations to help our
hungry in the community. This will be an ongoing Food Bank to help all thru the year not just for the Holidays.
Also, many thanks to everyone that donated to, and worked hard this year to improve the Lodge. It looks great. If you have not seen the
improvements lately please stop in and see for yourself.
New Years Resolutions…. Make resolutions now for what we can do to help our Lodge in the new year to come. How can we make it a better place, get the members that
have strayed away to come back and visit our Lodge. Happy New Year, Lisa Turner, Editor.
