My obeisanance to Bhagavati Sharada
the embodiment of purity and peace, the bestower of wisdom.
She the all-pervasive Diving Power,
The very essence of all philosophical contemplation
reveals Her radiant form in the heart-lotus
Holding in Her hands symbols of learning and the art of living.
Mother Divine!
You are indeed the embodiment of perfection and fullness.
The joy and wisdom of life!
I salute you again and again as my Guru
who enhances the inner strength and potentialities.
Guide me and enlighten me!
This world is a beautiful garden
But I am a dullard disinclined to make any effort.
Dear Mother,
Help me to gather my scattered mind and direct it
like a sharp arrow fixed to the bow of Omkaara or
Pranava towards the highest goal of life.
Inspire me to attain that prefect communion - ‘Tanmayataa.’
Guide me in every thought and action,
O Vijnaanamayee: Poornakalaamayi.

National Emblem
The National emblem of India is a replica of the Lion of Sarnath,
near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The Lion Capital was erected in
the third century BC by Emperor Ashoka to mark the spot where
Buddha first proclaimed his gospel of peace and emanicipation to
the four quarters of the universe. The national emblem is thus
symbolic of contemporary India’s reaffirmation of its’s ancient
commitment to world peace and goodwill.
The four lions (one hidden from view)- symbolizing power,
courage and confidence-rest on a circular abacus. The abacus is
girded by four smaller animals- guardians of the four directions:
the lion of the north, the elephant of the east, the horse of the
south and the bull of the west. The abacus rests on a lotus in full
bloom, exemplifying the fountainhead of life and creative
inspiration.
The Motto ‘SATHYAMEVA JAYATE’
inscribed below the emblem in Devanagari script means
‘Truth alone Triumphs’
National Flag Significance of the Tricolor
Each of the three colors in our Tricolor has a special significance.
The saffron stands for courage, sacrifice and the spirit of
renunciation. The White, is meant for purity and truth. While the
green is for faith and fertility.
The navy blue wheel in the center of the white band signifies
which denotes continual progress of the country and its blue
wheel signifies the continuity of the nation’s progress which is
deemed to be as boundless as the blue sky above and as
fathomless as the deep blue sea that keeps its hands and feet
washed.

Note to the Parents
“Train a child in the way he should go, and
when he is old, he will not turn from it”
1. Your first concern as a parent should be to see that your ward attends
the college regularly. Parents who permit their ward to be absent from
college unnecessarily handicap their ward’s opportunity to succeed in
studies.
2. You can contribute a great deal to your ward’s success in the college by
encouraging home study. See that your ward devotes at least three
hours every day for his/ her studies at home.
3. Parents are expected to co-operate with the college by enforcing
regularity and discipline in their child and encourage them to
participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
4. You are requested to go through the Performance Report periodically
to ensure your ward’s progress in studies & attendance.
5. When you are requested to meet the Head of the department or the
class teacher, it should be done immediately because the feedback of
the ward’s weakness in the class can be directly communicated.
6. A wholesome attitude towards college and confidence in his/her
teachers is essential for the ward’s maximum success in college.
Criticism of your ward’s teachers in his/ her presence should be
avoided since it gives room for the ward to lose respect for teachers
and consequently he/she fails to learn from these teachers. Withdrawal
of your ward from class for a mere social function is not recommended
because it retards his/her progress in college and minimizes his/her
respect for regular hard work & attendance.
7. Students who are not enrolled under sports quota and play any sport
through different clubs are not allowed to claim attendance.
Page: 13 Calendar of Events 2020-21
8. Encourage your ward to cultivate the habit of neatness, self-help and
systematic work.
9. Ensure that your ward does not bring any costly gadgets to college.
College will not be responsible for it in whatsoever manner.
10. Failure to pay the fees on time will be viewed seriously.
11. Parents are requested to notify in writing in case of any change of
address, E-mail ID’s, telephone numbers to the college office
12. Parents will get an official letter if the students are taken out of station
for projects and industrial visits by the college.
13. Parents should not come to college and disturb the child during class
hours.
14. Parents are welcome after the sessions conclude for the day.
15. As per the rule of Government of India, a child is allowed to travel on
concession from college to home town only.
16. Parents/Guardians are requested to meet the ward’s class teachers
concerned to ascertain the attendance and progress of their wards
atleast twice in the academic year.
17. Parents should collect and enquire about GSEAS ID from their ward
and login to know the academic progress and attendance of their ward.
For further information, the parents can contact the parents-teacher
cell which is set up in the college.
The “VALUES” we leave in our children are more important
than the “Valuables” we leave for them

Discipline within & around premises
Students are expected to behave in decent and acceptable manner
within and around the premises where the classes are held. Students
have to be aware of their actions that might inconvenience other
students and staff.
We take very strong exception to any kind of misbehavior. Any act of
misbehavior will result in the expulsion of the student.
Students of all the classrooms, corridors, lobbies, lift areas and staff
rooms are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.
Students are requested to maintain strict discipline.
Dress Code and Appearance
A decent and elegant dress adds to the personality of an individual. It also
in its own merits creates an atmosphere congenial for learning. During
transition period, the peer group influence allows students greater freedom
of choice. But the presentability should correspond to the environment,
and should not cross decency. In such matters, parenting should assume a
supporting and supervisory role. In our college we have formed a
committee to routinely monitor the dress code. Students should strictly
adhere to the dress code.
