Cannot activate satellite radio free trial
A new service campaign is being launched following SSM 72908 to capture the SiriusXM ESN (Electronic Serial Number) that were not scanned during XE and F-PACE build at the factory. Without a record of the ESN, customers and retailer staff will have difficulty subscribing the vehicle to the satellite service. Check the vehicle has the campaign open in DDW and ensure when the ESN is being recorded that the letters F,I,O, or S are not used. Follow the process provided to record ESN and for sold cars contact Sirius XM.

Accelerator Pedal Mounting Bracket
The driver may inadvertently press the accelerator and brake pedal at the same time, which will cause the brake system override to apply. In the event of the brake override system applying, it will significantly reduce the engine torque output and may cause concern for the driver. A measurement of the gap between the brake and accelerator pedal will determine if the accelerator pedal bracket will require material to be removed from it for adjustment.

XCLSDD Global Compliance Advice
As reported previously, the global initiative to drive SDD compliance is receiving much attention, and currently there are concerns over the NAS market’s overall difficulty to meet our Global Standards in this area. While many retailers have already demonstrated 100% compliance, (95 individual Jaguar or Land Rover retailers regardless of dual branding) we can only improve this compliance metric with the daily cooperation of ALL JLRNA service staff that use SDD.
1) (Monthly) Ensure all SDD Software and VCI devices are updated regularly, and especially during the final week of every month.
2) (Daily) Always connect an approved Battery Support Unit (BSU) to the vehicle BEFORE reading the vehicle VIN at session startup.
3) (Daily) NEVER connect the negative lead for the BSU directly to the vehicle’s negative battery post. Always follow the model specific connection instructions in section 414-00 in the WSM
We are here to help, related questions during the Q&A segment are welcomed.
