Exposure =Aperture + shutter speed + ISO
Metering the Light = Exposure
• An aperture relates to the circular opening in the lens that gets bigger or smaller, shown in ‘f’ numbers
• The shutter speed relates to the amount of time the ‘shutter’ remains open for.
• ISO relates to how ‘sensitive’ the camera sensor is.

• Getting a ‘correct’ exposure is about creating a balance between the 3 main camera settings. • Adjusting one means you must compensate with the others.
