For my Final Major Project I had a brief to find an old disused property and I had to redesign it with a new use. I chose a pub in Wales which was run down and requiring redeveloping. I chose a pub because I thought it would be interesting to look at other uses for pub buildings as so many pubs are currently being shut down and left empty. I wanted to create a new hub for the village which would bring the community together as well as being a destination for tourists to bring money to the quiet village in Wales.
The building consists of three floors which i have chosen to divide into a sweetshop on the first and second floor and an adult restaurant on the third floor which is accessed by a new glass extention which i have designed to have an internal garden with chocolate sented flowers and a waterfall falling down the top and rear of the extention to create atmosphere. Using my research into sweets and nostalgia i have tried to incorporate various aspects of sensory design to stimulate all of the senses.

Contemporary issues
For my contemporary issues module we were given an architect and asked to design a beach house using their design techniques. I had Daniel Libeskind and I designed a beach house on Venice Beach. I combined angled walls with shards of light to resemble the inspi-rations from Berlin war museum and the Imperial war museum in Salford.
