The symbol shows consistency across dierent Indian
scripts. There is negligible chance o misinterpretation as
the symbol is signicantly dierent rom the numerals it is
placed against.
The symbol also blends in nicely with both Devanagri,
Eastern Nagari as well as Dravidian scripts.
Furthermore, the symbol is easy to draw or write and can
be reproduced with pen and paper. The symbol utilizes
a single stroke which makes it easy and pleasurable to
write. By eliminating any special marks or punctuation

InterpretationEXCHANGE & STORE OF VALUE A currency is a unit o exchange,acilitating the transer o goods and / or services. This proposed symbolrepresents both the fow & exchange o currency.
The currency also becomes a store o value. This quality is represented by thetwo eyes which are ormed by the two turning loops on either ends o the
symbol. Thus in totality this symbol represents both transer & store o value.The symbol also simply put shows visually the process o give-and-take.
LIMITLESSNESS The innity sign is hidden in the symbol. This representsthe possibility o endless growth, boundlessness or endlessness.
As the Indian Economy is getting stronger, our currency is also emerging as aglobal standard. The innity sign represents abundance, prousion & wealth.
EQUALITY The equality sign denotes equal opportunities. It represents thenew India where people are not discriminated because o caste, creed, religionor social status.
The equality signies a land where people can earn themselves a living noton the basis o their social identiers but on the basis o merit alone. It is anoptimistic thought which is being ullled now.
LIQUIDITY The symbol has been designed to be very fuid so as torepresent a fow. Liquidity represents a high volume o activity in a given market.This is essential or the economic growth o a country.
Currency or money should be in fow. I the fow stops the market becomesstagnant. This hampers entrepreneurship, growth and progress. A Liquid marketensures good business transaction and promotes growth.
Two drops enclosed within the loops represent Liquid Assets which are amongthe most basic orm o nancial resources used by consumers, suppliers, andinvestors. Currency and coin are the two most obvious orms o liquid assets.

The symbol is derived rom the Devanagari Ru short or Rupia derived origi-nally rom the word rupee is ound in the word rup or rupa, which meanssilver in many Indo-Aryan languages such as Hindi. The Sanskrit wordrupyakam means coin o silver.
The matra ou was juxtaposed at the tail orto give it a fow. Later the looporwas enhanced to make the orm symmetrical.
The symbol has been kept ree rom religious, communal or regional biases.
The symbol also has a hidden Bh, denoting Bharat or India. The orm is quiteabstract but holds a lot o cultural values India stands or; Continuity(oftradition) UniversalEquality Harmony,Rhythm&Balance ThemotifisalsoinspiredbythedecorativeRangolis Celebrationtheformalsoshowspeopledancingholdinghands.
