• Greater respect is given towards those who actively pursuit relationship with the
Braham, thinkers and philosophers instead of doers

• When they are not in the householder stage it is a distraction to chase
material goods. So instead of focusing on “doing” they are encouraged to
seek truth and harmony
• All material goods are said to be lower in status according to their dharma except
during their householder stage, which it is acceptable to chase material items solely to
provide for their families needs and wants.
• Because of this they are a Being-in-Becoming oriented country.

• Countless infant girls are aborted or abandoned each year in India

• Men:
• In power and controls most if not all in family
• Choses wife and inherits dowry
• That is why women are less desired in fear of dowry debt
• Women:
• Doesn’t have much power
• Fighting to be heard
• Traffikking
• Not as desired
• Almost seen as a possession
