We offer a 10% discount for Seniors on most classes. Don’t forget to ask.
Classes funded by ACFE are priced for individual participation. Business and corporate rates may differ from the prices included in the program. Please check with the Manager for these rates. We can tailor a course to your business needs!
On funded courses, BCHLC is required to charge a student contribution consistent with Ministerial Direction on Fees & Charges. Minimum tuition fee of $55 + amenities entitles students to 40 hours of tuition.
This organisation respects your right to information privacy. Information which we collect and hold on learners is kept in accordance with information privacy laws.
Enrolment in courses will close one week before the scheduled class date and bookings can be made via phone, fax, post, online or in person.
Full payment must be made prior to the commencement of first class. Refunds will only apply when courses are cancelled due to insufficient enrolments. Notification will be given only when classes are cancelled or rescheduled.
Classes are not held on public holidays unless otherwise notified.

BCHLC Terms & Conditions
This workshop will suit those wanting to start making their own cider. It is really not too hard when you know how! Participants will learn the basic theory behind making cider, understand the steps required to produce cider including the preparation & processing of fruit, fermentation and bottling.
Low cost equipment suitable for the beginning cider-maker, will be demonstrated. The selection of suitable cider varieties will also be discussed. The program include a tour of the Collections Orchard with over 350 varieties of apples.
If you have already made cider and want to take your cider-making to a whole new level, check out the Advanced Cider making workshop.
Lunch and light refreshments are provided.
Participants will also be eligible for a discount on tree purchases.

Sourdough Bread Demonstration
Discover how easy it is to bake delicious sourdough, using a “no-fuss” sourdough in a container method, for both wheat and rye sourdough loaves.
The workshop will provide a demonstration of each step of the process and will include take home notes and sourdough culture.

Safe Food Handling (SITXFSA001)
A national accredited course, which must be renewed every 3 years. Be instructed in the correct storage of perishable food and techniques of cooking food safely.
A must for volunteer, sports & service clubs, who manage events & are involved with the selling or provision of food.

Nationally Accredited Training
This is a nationally recognised and accredited course. The qualification will be valid for 3 years and provides learners with the opportunity to learn how to manage a medical emergency and provide first aid in the home, workplace and general community.
Online pre-learning is required before attending the course. Minimum requirement is to be able to perform CPR on the floor.
Statement of Attainment is issued by the Asthma foundation for Victoria (RTO Provider No 4987) upon successful completion of all assessment requirements and demonstration of all required competencies.
