− Benchmarking through ENERGY STAR allows you to compare one building against a national sample of similar buildings, and to compare all of your buildings of a similar type to one another

Normalizes for weather, operating hours, occupant density, and other characteristics

Creating a Profile in Portfolio Manager
What You Will Need
Information to have on hand: – PROPERTY INFORMATION: Property function, address, etc.
– PROPERTY TYPE: Gross floor area, weekly operating hours, number of computers, etc.
– ENERGY CONSUMPTION: monthly/quarterly/delivery bills containing service start and stop dates (or date of delivery), usage and units of usage, and cost
• If your property generates energy on-site, this will need to be noted as well

Username and Password
Create a Username and Password − Provide your company name, select directory view settings, and
answer security questions
