The State of the ChurchWhy Intentional Discipleship is Important

While most churches "believe" in making disciples, very few are effectively
making them.

theProblem
“In some places the church is growing strongly, but even there the problem is that of
growth without depth. In short, the church lacks
proper discipleship…
Our zeal to go wider has not been matched by a commitment
to go deeper.”

theProblem

is an intentional and strategic thrust to facilitate spiritual
maturity.”

theProblem
“There is a tremendous need for a more intentional focus on the discipleship process and for

ChurchWarehouse vs Factory
Warehouse Church Factory Church
Goal To collect and store material without negative changes, and to keep it in storage as long as possible.
To obtain raw material, process it into a more valuable product and get it out into the world as quickly as possible.
Purpose of Pastor
To collect material into the warehouse, store it in small rooms, and try to keep it there in good condition.
To act as a foreman to lead factory workers. To get as much raw material from outside the factory as possible. To change it and get it back out of the factory.
Needed Inside Many rooms and a small maintenance staff.
A process for material to go through, machinery (intentional programs) to transform the material. Trained workers to run the machinery.
Results Material inside doesn’t change. Material inside is effectively changed and becomes useful to the owner.

FINANCIAL POLICY
1. COVER OUR ACTUAL TRAVEL AND HOSPITALITY COSTS (individually or collectively as a group)
2. SUPPORT T-NET MONTHLY FROM THE MISSIONS BUDGET OF YOUR CHURCH.
We will provide your church with a copy of our budget, our needs and a suggested donation level, just like any missions organization.
You decide on the support level.
![Page 74: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/74.jpg)
Put yourself in this picture!
![Page 75: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/75.jpg)
The Challenge: Equip Pastors for Intentional Disciplemaking around the World.
• There are 2-3 Million pastors overseas with no formal preparation.
• Most internationals will never be able to attend Bible College or Seminary.
The Solution: Trained Leaders
![Page 76: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/76.jpg)
How Does This Work?
The Solution: Trained Leaders
Identify a region where pastors have little or no formal training
![Page 77: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/77.jpg)
How Does This Work?
The Solution: Trained Leaders
25 to 30 national pastors are gathered for a training center
![Page 78: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/78.jpg)
How Does This Work?
The Solution: Trained Leaders
A pastor or team from an Intentional Disciplemaking Church teaches the first training center. . .
![Page 79: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/79.jpg)
How Does This Work?
Sharing out of their own experience, they coach each church leader to apply disciplemaking principles.
![Page 80: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/80.jpg)
How Does This Work?
Pastors then go back to churches like this to begin applying Christlike methods and principles.
![Page 81: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/81.jpg)
Fulfilling the Great Commission
It’s people . . . equipped to share their faith with friends and neighbors, seeing them receive Christ and bringing them to a church that knows how to produce mature disciples.
![Page 82: IDW Kent's New Version](https://reader037.vdocuments.us/reader037/viewer/2022102815/55517322b4c9057f478b4ae5/html5/thumbnails/82.jpg)
