INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION Idaho Code §19-864(2) requires that defending attorneys submit an annual report for the county fiscal year to the Board of County Commissioners, the appropriate Administrative District Judge and the Public Defense Commission on or before November 1 of each year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION for Defending Attorneys working under contracts with multiple counties or directly appointed by the court in multiple counties: Complete a separate report for each county in which contract defending attorney services were provided or in which you were court appointed.
This Uniform Public Defense Annual Report for Contract and Appointed Defending Attorneys and all required attachments, which reports information for the most recently ended county fiscal year, must be submitted to the parties listed above on or before November 1 of each year. This report can be submitted to the Public Defense Commission via any of these methods: Via email in PDF format to [email protected], or Via mail or hand delivery to Public Defense Commission, 816 W. Totals should reflect only the number of active cases in which one of the following occurred: (1) adefending attorney was appointed, (2) an appearance in court was made by the d e f e n d i n g attorney, (3) a filing wasmade by a defending attorney in the course of representation, or (4) investigation or preparation was undertaken.“Total Cases (Including Trials)” generally should not include those cases that were conflicted out at the time a case wasopened, unless significant representation had already been undertaken.
