1) Please you determine your research topic/title.
Identification of Phytoplankton Distribution and Sea Surface
Temperature Using TM Landsat Images on Anambas National Marine
Park, Riau Islands, Indonesia
2) Please you create the research problems (main issues), the research
questions and aims of your research.
a. How is the distribution of phytoplankton relationship with sea
surface temperature in Anambas National Marine Park?
b. How is the rate of sea surface temperature change based on the
last five years and the model for next five years prediction?
c. Wheter the Anambas marine national park able to support the

Methodology and Data Analysis
TM Landsat images years 1990 and 2000 will be use to assess this
study. Landsat sensor measures radition in seven band of
electromagnetics spectrum with spectral resolution of 30 m, except for
band 6 which measures emiited thermal infra red radiation with 120 m
resolution. ENVI 4.8 and ArcGIS 10 are use to process and analyze
the acquired images.
As surface water temperature is the basic parameter for the deviation
of the thermal behaviour of the environment, a thermal classification of
both images will be conduct using the thermal infrared (10.4 to 12.5
m) band 6 that measures the amount of infrared radiant flux emitted
from surfaces. The thermal bands of the satellite images than
