that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

What’s LOVE ALL ABOUT?
1. It’s about STEWARDSHIP.I don’t own anything, I manage it.
17But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and
closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
18Little children, let us not love with word or
with tongue, but in deed and truth. (I John 3:17-18)

2. It’s about LOVE, extravagant & simple.
We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down
our lives for the brethren. (I John 3:16)
“And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you,
he shall not lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:42)
3. It’s about SACRIFICE.
10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11Dear friends,
since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
I John 4:10-11
4. It’s about SERVICE.
Love those feet.
(John 13; Philippians 2:1-4)
5. The bond and the badge.34“A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one
another.” (John 13:34-35)
How is it new?
Object –34A new commandment I give to you, that you love one
another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Measure –34A new commandment I give to you, that you love one
another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Purpose –35By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.”
These were everyday principles for the
church as it began.
42They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
46Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,
they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47praising God
and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42, 46-47
