You are the company’s chief evangelist and represent the brand best. CEOs have cited that Twitter has helped them to:
• Humanize the brand and better connect with key constituents• Build relationships with customers/clients/vendors• Generate real-time feedback from those people• Disseminate information quickly to internal and external constituents• Meet potential employees and get a sense of what current employees
really think• Acquire new product/service ideas
Have an opinion. There aren’t too many public company CEOs on Twitter, because their CFOs and compliance people worry it might affect the stock price. But if you’re a private company CEO, then have an opinion. Say something. This is your opportunity.

• Tweet = (n) a message posted to Twitter• To Tweet = (v) to post a message to Twitter• Follow = to sign up to receive someone else’s updates• RT = ReTweet, to forward someone else’s tweet to your
own followers• DM = Direct Message, a private message sent to someone
who follows your updates. DMs don’t appear on your profile or in public stream.
• @username = How to refer to another Tweeter. A reply message begins with @ and the username.
• # = Hashtag, a symbol used to simplify monitoring or searching a conversation thread (#Gustav, #prville)
• Favorites – Marking a tweet to preserve it. Your favorites are part of your profile
