I would like to start out
by welcoming our 23
new members to the
Lodge.
September was a great
month, and I would like to
welcome back all those mem-
bers who may have been on
vacation over the summer.
The House Committee has
reinitiated Friday night din-
ners with a great turnout and
success. Also the breakfast
committee has begun again,
and another stellar turnout.
Bill Wolfe, PER is also back
on site for Trap, so why not
come on down for some
breakfast, then shoot trap.
For those of you who may
not know, but both Sherry
Perleoni, and Louise Beeghly
prepare Sunday lunches at the
bar, so there is plenty to do
on a Sunday afternoon.
Tom Herzog had the annu-
al Charity Golf tournament,
and it was a great success. I
would like to thank him, the
sponsors, and all the volun-
teers. He could not have done
it without your help. Tom
will have a list of all the vol-
unteers later in this Upstart.
The “Steak/Disco” night
has been postponed to later in
the year. If you are interested
in hosting a Friday/Saturday
night dinner, please contact
me or a member of the House
Committee. We will gladly
help you, plan, cook and
cleanup.
We can all do more, and
stop depending on those
members who do so much
already for the Lodge. It is
your Lodge too, so get in-
volved!

here to help us with any event

be in the ‘front’ of the event,
but she is always here. She
helps wherever she can! Sally
enjoy the spot!

Thank YOU!
I would be remiss, if I didn’t thank the dedicated Elks who
helped me for this dinner. The Lodge made a profit, and with-
out their help it wouldn’t have: Mike Dondi, Bob Scaglia, Mike
Dudzinski, Larry Bowden, Dennis Claffey, PDD, Louise Bee-
ghly, and of course the Bassette family!

Thank You! The Elk’s Charity Golf Tournament was held on September
11, 2017.
Special thanks to Dave Poulin and his kitchen crew who put
in a long day to prepare the dinner for roughly 125 players
and guest. Thank you to the players who took the time to
participate and support the Elks. Also enough cannot be
said for the members who solicited sponsors and raffle do-
nors: Jack Verravas, Peter Guida, Al Gordon, Tom Harkins
and Dennis Claffey, PDD (my administrative “go to” as
well), whose hard work brought in most of our sponsors.

sales. Also to the Bassette family who volunteered on multi-

have paid, please let me know.
