• Onions are a source of Vitamin C (keeps you well during flu and cold season) and dietary fiber (healthy digestion). Antioxidant ingredient (phytonutrients) that lowers blood pressure and prevent some kinds of cancer.
• The taste of onions does not depend on the color (red, yellow, green, white): sweet or savory.
• Onions are available year-round. Purchase fresh or frozen for best nutritious value.
• Dry onions will last for 3 to 4 weeks in a cool and dry area; they can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week.
Why do unique family members need daily Vitamin C?
• It grows and repairs body tissue known as collagen: make skin, scar tissue, and blood vessels.
• It is great for cartilage, bones, teeth and healing wounds.
