Initial Objectives At the beginning of class my goals were to help with making
resources available to the communities. I wanted to network with people from providence so that I
can build that relationship and hopefully learn about the organization more.
Also I wanted to gain experience on how the hospital works with the community and what the hospital can provide for community.
Community Resource Organizer
Made Sure resources were up to date
added new amenities (Ex:sports fields & Parks)
Added resources and services (ex:Hot Lunches, clothing, shelter, and groceries)
What I Learned
There are many resources for people Behind the scene hospital workers are very valuable to
projects Have to be adaptive in the hospital atmosphere My perception of that cities in the north end are high
income is completely wrong
Closing thoughts
Working in the health care atmosphere, there are may ways to help low-income communities
The fieldwork was not what I expected but I’m glad that I experience it
