Overview
Launching the Job Plan consists of 5 primary actions:
• Running the referral search
• Sourcing
• Internal Launch
• Posting to job boards
• Contacting professional organizations and user groups

Using the referral search – best practices
When running the referral search, you should:
• Run the referral search for the first time after the HM approves the Job Plan
• Emails are auto-sent at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm PST
• Limit the initial launch to about 100 people
• Contact a maximum of 500 people during the life cycle of the job through the referral search
• If candidates pulled are not your target:
• Remove them, consider changing the profile

• 6 hours either side of launch find 10 good candidates and call or email them
• Where to find them:• referral search
• Job boards, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo
• Professional organizations, user groups, etc.

• Sell the position and company
• If not interested - ask if they know someone who is
“…wanted to let you know we are about to post a job for ABC Inc. and thought you might be
interested in applying…”

Potential phone call targets should include:
• Current employees and future peers of the new job
• Candidates sourced from job boards
• Candidates that have applied for similar jobs in the past
• Employees of competitors, partners and vendors

Job Board Postings
• The system can post to major job boards
• Every position should be posted on at least 4 job boards
• Technical jobs are posted on Dice
• Sales jobs are posted on Salesjobs.com
• Postings MUST be configured and posted in the system prior to launching the job

• The job status will then show “Active”

Identify candidates by researching:
• Professional organizations
• User groups
• Clubs and societies
• Relevant industry conferences and seminars
• Alumni associations
• Yahoo and Google groups

Things to Consider For Posting
• Get approval to use the company’s name
• If the company has the same job posted, encourage them to replace it with the Accolo description and link
• Hide all Accolo contact information - drive them to the link
• Online application or resume drop functions should be turned off so all applications go to Accolo’s link
• Double check links to make sure they go to the correct job and it looks properly formatted
• Use the job posting templates to ensure HTML formatting is correct
