Dear Bronte Community, A big thank you to all of our parents who have responded to the online surveythat was sent out last week. We have had overwhelmingly positive feedbackand are proud to know our community feels so strongly about our response tothe COVID-19 Pandemic. More than 95% of our survey responses werepositive and supported our decisions to protect our students and staff. In aneffort to improve and understand our community, parents who have expressedconcern in regard to their special circumstances will be contacted directly if theyhave not been already.

Thank you again to everyone who participated, we truly appreciate yourfeedback! We want to share with you some kind words from our parents!

There is just over one week left of the Online Learning Program until ourlast day on May 29, 2020! Friendly reminder for students and parentsthat final assessments are due June 12, 2020 by 11:59 PM Eastern

This year, to accommodate students who wish tostay over summer break, we are offering 3 types ofprograms for students:

1. Summer School2. Summer Workshops3. Summer Residence Activities

All students, either living on campus or whohave gone home, now have the option tocontinue their studies over summer break viathe Online Learning Program. If you are interested in enrolling in one of the belowsummer school courses, please contact yourGuidance Counsellor.

If you do not see a summer school course youwould like to enroll in, please complete and submitthe Additional Summer School Course form. Summer School Courses:

STUDENT HIGHLIGHT:

Aleksandra ShabrovaAleksandra is a grade 11 student who has been studyingat Bronte College over the past year. She is a verytalented artist who spends her time drawing and has asketchbook full of amazing watercolour paintings!Aleksandra joined our student art club, chess club andregularly participates in the residence paint nights.

She also enjoys reading historical mystery and crime novels and has recently startedlearning how to longboard. In university, Aleksandra is planning to study art or architecture.Thank you, Aleksandra, for your passion and creativity!

UPDATESThere continues tobe zero cases of COVID-19 and zero suspected casesat Bronte College The Ontario Government hasannounced publicly fundedschools will remain closed forthe rest of the school year.For more information, pleaserefer here.

REMINDERSStudents returning for the Fallterm must be physically inattendance at Bronte Collegeto complete credit courses We are acceptingapplications for the IB DPuntil May 31, 2020.

Current students interested in either the InternationalBaccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme or Pre-IB Programme

STUDENT RESIDENCE LIFE This weekend’s residence activities were full of surprises! We had an impromptuphotoshoot with students and they had so much fun during supervised time outside!The Talk Time event held on Saturday was also a hit! Our residence team took timeto understand student’s feelings on the COVID-19 situation and have discussionsabout real-life problems our students may be facing. On Sunday our residencestudents played a quick round of " Headbanz" together!

Jennifer Lynn

Jennifer is the School Nurse at Bronte College. Duringthese difficult times, she has played a critical role takingcare of students’ well-being, both physically andmentally. In addition to her regular responsibilities,Jennifer has been the main person on campus preparingphysical distancing measures, assisting with theresidence team, performing workplace inspections andimplementing procedures to keep our staff and studentssafe. Jennifer is very cooperative, works in harmony withothers and contributes to the positive environment oncampus. Thank you, Jennifer for your dedication toprotecting our community, you are a valued memberat Bronte College!

We have been doing an outstanding job at keeping our campus ahealthy and safe space. Let’s continue to protect ourselves andprevent the spread of COVID-19 with these 3 Easy Steps:
