Introit: For the Beauty of the Earth John Rutter
Words by F.S.Pierpoint (1835-1917)
Thanks for god’s creation
We plough the fields and scatter The good seed on the land,
But it is fed and watered By God’s almighty hand;
He sends the snow in winter, The warmth to swell the grain, The breezes and the sunshine
And soft refreshing rain. cont...
Hymn: We Plough The Fields And Scatter
For the beauty of the earth, for the beauty of the skies, For the love which from our birth over and around us lies: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our joyful hymn of praise.
For the beauty of each hour of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale and tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our joyful hymn of praise.
For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent child,
Friends on earth and friends above, for all gentle thoughts and mild: Lord of all, to thee we raise this our joyful hymn of praise.
For each perfect gift of thine to our race so freely given,
Graces human and divine, flowers of earth and buds of heaven:
Lord of all, to thee we raise this our joyful hymn of praise.
Call to worship
All good gifts around us Are sent from heaven above:
Then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord, For all His love.
He only is the Maker Of all things near and far;
He paints the wayside flower, He lights the evening star;
The winds and waves obey him, By him the birds are fed;
Much more, to us his children He gives our daily bread.
All good gifts …
We thank thee, then, O Father, For all things bright and good,
The seed-time and the harvest, Our life, our health, our food.
Accept the gifts we offer For all thy love imparts;
And, what thou most desirest, Our humble, thankful hearts.
All good gifts ...

An- All Things Bright And Beautiful John Rutter
Words by Mrs C.F. Alexander (1823-95)
What makes the sun to rise? - The power of God. What makes the seed to grow? - The love of God. What makes the wind to blow? - The Spirit of God. Power of God protect us. Love of God lead us. Spirit of God strengthen us. In all of life And all creation

All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colours, He made their tiny wings.
All things bright and beautiful, ...
The purple-headed mountain, The river running by, The sunset and the morning, That brightens up the sky; The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one.
All things bright and beautiful, ...
He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well.
All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all.
What power did this? Why, the self-same power that comes to break apart the tight-locked hardness of the human heart.

For the fruits of His creation, thanks be to God. For His gifts to every nation, thanks be to God.
For the ploughing, sowing, reaping, silent growth while we are sleeping, future needs in earth's safekeeping,
thanks be to God.
In the just reward of labour, God's will is done. In the help we give our neighbour, God's will is done.
In our worldwide task of caring for the hungry and despairing, in the harvests we are sharing,
God's will is done.
For the harvests of the Spirit, thanks be to God. For the good we all inherit, thanks be to God.
For the wonders that astound us, for the truths that still confound us, most of all that love has found us,
thanks be to God.
You are the Maker— of earth and sky, You are the Maker—of heaven on high. You are the Maker— of oceans deep. You are the Maker—of mountains steep. You are the Maker—of sun and rain, You are the Maker—of hill and plain You are the Maker—of such as me. Keep me, O Lord Eternally. Teach me to see you, Lord, in all things seen and heard, In beauty of the heather moors, in the singing of a bird.

Hymn: For the fruits of His creation
Solo: His eye is on the sparrow Jennifer Graham
Charles H. Gabriel (1856-1932 )
Words: Civilla D. Martin (1860-1948)
Thanks for god’s faithfulness
Why should I feel discouraged, Why should the shadows come, Why should my heart be lonely And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He: His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
I sing because I'm happy I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me.
"Let not your heart be troubled," His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth But one step I may see:
His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me...
Whenever I am tempted, Whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, From care He sets me free: His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me...
Shepherd, my shepherd, Far have I strayed, Lost to your love for me, Hurt and betrayed – And yet your love comes seeking. Shepherd, my shepherd, I’ve been alone, Bruising myself On the shale and the stone – And still your love comes seeking. Shepherd, my shepherd, I’ve torn my fleece, Caught in life’s brambles, Lost to your peace – And now your love comes finding. Shepherd, my shepherd, I’m in your arms, Safe from myself And from evil’s alarms – And with your love comes healing.
Anthem: The Lord is my shepherd Psalm 23

Reading: Rescued Elizabeth Rooney Andrew Davison
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want, He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
Yea though I walk through the valley Of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, For you are with me, You will comfort me
Comfort me.
Surely goodness and mercy, Shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Prayers Muriel Cromie

Introit: A Thanksgiving Hymn Words: G.E.L. Cotton
Music: Eric H. Thiman
Jesus The Saviour, save me from sin. Jesus the Way, watch, warn, walk with me. Jesus the Truth, teach, tell, transfigure me. Jesus the Life, lead, lighten, love me. Jesus the Shepherd, seek, strengthen, save me. Jesus the Door, direct, draw, deliver me. Jesus my Peace, pity, pardon, purify me. Jesus Risen, revive, recreate, renew me.
Thanks for god’s son
Reading: John 3 , v16 Ivan Dowling
We thank Thee, Lord, for this fair earth, The glittering sky, the silver sea:
For all their beauty all their worth, Their light and glory come from thee.
Thine are the flowers that clothe the ground, The trees that wave their arms above. The hills that gird our dwellings round As Thou dost gird thine own with love.
Yet teach us still how far more fair, More glorious, Father, in Thy sight, Is one pure deed, one holy prayer,
One heart that owns Thy Spirit’s might.
So, while we gaze with thoughtful eye On all the gifts Thy love hath given
Help us in Thee to live and die, By Thee to rise from earth to heaven. Amen.
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.
The great I am David Adam

Prayers
In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
The love of Christ—Surround us The Light of Christ—Lead us The peace of Christ—Fill us The power of Christ—Aid us The joy of Christ—Thrill us The presence of Christ Be with us evermore.

No guilt in life, no fear in death This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man Can ever pluck me from His hand ‘til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

anthem The lord’s prayer Bob Chilcottt
Come, ye thankful people, come, Raise the song of harvest home:
All is safely gathered in Ere the winter storms begin;
God, our Maker, doth provide For our wants to be supplied:
Come to God’s own temple, come, Raise the song of harvest-home.
All this world is God’s own field, Fruit unto his praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown, Unto joy or sorrow grown;
First the blade, and then the ear, Then the full corn shall appear: Lord of harvest, grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever. Amen.

blessing: May the peace Getty & Townend
May the peace of god our heavenly father And the grace of Christ the risen Son And the fellowship of God the Spirit
Keep our hearts and minds within His love.
And to Him be praise for His glorious reign From the depths of earth to the heights of heaven
We declare the name of the Lamb once slain Christ eternal, the King of kings.
May this peace which passes understanding And this grace which makes us what we are
And this fellowship of His communion Make us one in spirit and in heart.
Hymn: Come, Ye Thankful People, Come cont...
For the Lord our God shall come, And shall take his harvest home; From his field shall in that day,
All offences purge away; Give his angels charge at last In the fire the tares to cast; But the fruitful ears to store
In his garner evermore.
Even so, Lord, quickly come; Bring thy final harvest home:
Gather thou thy people in, Free from sorrow, free from sin;
There, for ever purified, In thy garner to abide:
Come, with all thine angels, come, Raise the glorious harvest-home!
