Welcome back all to our last term for 2017. The year has flown so quickly by and our children are all flourishing. We look forward to another action-packed term of learning and fun. Well done to all who participated in our Talent Quest held at the end of last term. Contestants were talented and brave. Thanks to our SRC organisers and to Mr. T. for helping with the music. It was great to have so many visitors, especially grand friends. Thanks to all who collected ‘Earn and Learn’ stickers for the school. We have been able to order science resources and gardening equipment for the children to use in our school vegetable garden. Classes are busy preparing for the
Gresford Historical Society’s
‘Back To Gresford’ day on 22nd
October. The day commences at the
Therese Doyle Centre from 9am to
2pm with our children’s digital
presentation of the history of the
school and a performance of ‘The
Maypole Dance.’ We look forward
to your attendance.
The Gresford Community Group has also invited the school to participate in a family country dance which they are organising for 4th November. The children will be learning a line dance which they will perform on the evening. See the flyer attached to this newsletter. We had senior students participating in the Dungog District Community of Schools Gifted and Talented Robotics Program
Principal’s message during last term. The program was run by Andrew Lyell from Newcastle University and our own technology teacher, Mrs. Manning. Our students are becoming very competent coders, an important skill for 21st century learners. Enjoy the final term! Kind regards,
Pauline
