Greening Your Nursery

• When getting the nursery ready- choose paints that are labeled low or no VOC’s• For baby’s clothes- look for organic fabrics, minimize clothing with flame retardant chemicals• Use only glass bottles- even BPA-free bottles have some "plasticizers” that are of concern• Look for mattresses and bedding that is organic or formaldehyde-free• When buying infant care products- look for lotions, soaps and shampoos that are as natural as possible, with a smaller list of ingredients, and without fragrances, parabens, phthalates, preservatives or dyes.• Add living plants to the nursery- they are natural air cleaners. • Avoid artificial air fresheners.
