Quinns Baptist College will be putting on GreaseJnr. Musical Production in May, 2020. Students willhave the opportunity to audition for a role in theMusical based on the following three options:
1. Lead/Support role2. Dancer/Actor in ensemble 3. Extra/backstage hand
Not all roles in the production are required to singand dance. The audition pack will provide you withthe performance requirements, including a shortmonologue/scene and song you must learn. If yourcharacter is required to dance, you will need to bepresent at one of the group dance auditions.

FRIDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER
The group dance audition will be held from 3-3:20pm and the acting/singing audition will be from3:20-5:30pm, where students will choose a 10minute time slot. The age specifications apply to2020 year levels. Auditionees will need to sign up at Student Servicesand complete an application form. The closing datefor sign ups will be Thursday the 29th August(Week 6).

Sandy is from California: a new
student to Rydell High and is Danny’s
love interest. They met during the
Summer break before she moved to the
school. She is a sweet, wholesome, and
naïve girl who can sing. Her innocent
nature prevents her from being fully
accepted by Rizzo in the Pink Ladies.
She connects with Frenchy and so is
accepted into the clique.

Kenicke is second in command of the T
Bird gang and is loyal to Danny and
their friendship. He is tough-looking
with tattoos, surly and avoids any
sign of softness. Rizzo is his love
interest and they end up together
after experiencing a push-pull
relationship throughout the story. He
is desperate to buy a car and do it up
to impress the ladies and attract
attention. New Jersey accent.

to his gang of friends “T Birds” about where he
worked in the Summer. The guys make fun of him
so he explains why he took the job.

you the F.B.I? I was workin’. Which is more
than either of you two skids can say. Luggin’
boxes at bargain city. Hey, eat me! I’m

Rizzo is the leader of the Pink Ladies,
which is a gum-chewing, hip-
swinging girls’ gang that hangs
around the T Birds. She is tough,
sarcastic and outspoken and can be
abrasive and cold.
Italian, with unconventional looks.
She speaks sharply with a New York
accent and is direct. The subtext of the
play indicates she may have had a
crush on Danny in the past.

be like them one day. His love interest
is Frenchy but he is too shy to ask her
to the dance. New Jersey accent.

Cha-Cha is Kenicke’s blind date to

loud-mouthed and confident in

exudes confidence. She walks in
an arrogant manner and others
are taken aback by her forthright
nature. She ends up dancing with
Danny, where they win the prize
for the Hand Jive competition.

When you sign up, make sure you are willing to becommitted to two-three days of rehearsal in Term 4and Term 1, 2020.

Call backs for leads will be in Week 8, so keep WED-FRI free in case you need to return for a chemistrytest. This means we want to pair possible leadstogether to test for a connection between the actors.
