Gravestone Inscriptions from the churchyard of
All Saints and St James Church, King’s Cliffe, Northamptonshire
Recorded by members of King’s Cliffe Heritage between 1999 and 2003
A book of these inscriptions and an illustrated plan of the churchyard are available at the back
of the Parish church for reference by visitors.
Gravestone numbers relate to those on the illustrated plan of the churchyard. Inscriptions have
been checked against burial records for the years 1813 to 1907. Question marks indicate uncertain
reading. Underscore marks have been used, where possible, to show the number of any missing
letters, otherwise a dotted line has been used to indicate unreadable text. Italics have been used for
notes and do not form part of the inscriptions. Stone masons’ names are shown in square brackets.
