firstwordifanyonecanturnthingsaroundwhenthepressureison,itislewishamilton. he arrived at monza having not won since his famoustriumphonhomesoilatsilverstoneinearlyJulyandwasfreshfromadnfinbelgium-abadweekendattheitaliangrandprixwouldbeadisasterforhisf1worldchampionshiptitleambitions.hehadtodeliver,andmoreimportantlyhehadtobeathisteammatenicorosberg - he had a point tomake too in the aftermath of theshenanigansatspa.thewordfrommercedesbosseswastheywerefreetorace.andthusthescenewassetforanenthrallingweekend.tocuta longstoryshortlewisdelivered:hequalifiedonpolewithanimmenselap,butbotchedthestartbeforemountingaspectacularrecoverywhich includeddiscounting teamadvice toslowdownandpreservetires.infactwhenthesuggestioncameovertheradio,hedidtheoppositeandstartedtoattackrace leaderrosbergrelentlessly.somuchsothatthegermanmadetworaremistakes(albeitbothinthe same place!) upon which lewis capitalised to snatch the leadandtakeafinevictory.thetitlebattle(makethatfeud)remainsverymuchalivethankstohisgutsyefforts.
