INTRODUCTION
• Google Drive is an easy way for you to incorporate technology
into the classroom
• You and your students will need to create or use an existing
Gmail account
• It is highly recommended that a mailing group is created for
each class
• This will allow you to share a whole document with the class by typing in
the mailing group name rather than typing in each name

GOOGLE DOCS
• Google Docs is one of the best tools to use in your classroom
• Here are a few ways you can use Google docs:
• Instead of printing out the homework sheet – share it with them and
allow them to type their answers in
• Allow students to share their papers via Google docs with their peers so
they can receive feedback on it
• Allow students to submit their work to you by sharing the link to their
Google Document
GOOGLE SHEETS
• Google Sheets is a great tool for teachers to use
• Examples:
• Grade books
• Group Pairings
• Creating Rubrics

GOOGLE SLIDES
• Google Slides is the online version of PowerPoint
• How it can be used:
• Collaboration in student groups
• Collaboration on lessons between teachers
• Easily providing notes to students
GOOGLE FORMS
• Google Forms is a great tool to use in the classroom to gather
data
• How it can be used:
• Creating tests to assess knowledge
• Use it as a poll to assess viewpoints of parents, students, or colleagues
• Use it on parent teacher night to have parents log their information for
easy access
