Plazas limitadas a 20 alumnos en primer año
• Conocimientos de inglés: B2, o similar; First
Certificate; TOEFL (en caso de no contar
con un título oficial, podrá acreditarse en
nivel de inglés mediante una prueba
específica oral y escrita en el Instituto de
Idiomas de la Universidad de Navarra)
• Nota mínima en primero
de Bachillerato: 8.0
El programa se compone de la suma de dos
tipos de actividades:
• Formación durante el curso lectivo,
adicionales a la formación de arquitecto
_ Un International Seminar por curso,
durante los primeros cuatro años, con
una duración aproximada de 10 horas
lectivas por seminario, con la presencia
de un invitado internacional
_ English for Professional Practice,
cursada al menos durante los primeros
3 años de carrera. Esta asignatura está
enfocada al manejo y profundización,
tanto a nivel escrito como hablado, de
los términos técnicos específicos de la
profesión
_ Professional and Work Skills,
seminario-taller dirigido a preparar la
inserción en el mundo laboral,
elaboración de port-folios, CV,
orientaciones para entrevistas de
trabajo, etc.
_ Taller Internacional de Proyectos,
desarrollado durante 5º curso en la
Escuela de Arquitectura e impartido en
inglés por profesorado de prestigio
internacional
_ Trabajo fin de carrera tutorado en
inglés, en combinación con prácticas
en un estudio internacional
• Actividades ofertadas por la Escuela de
Arquitectura durante los periodos no
lectivos (verano)
_ Visiones de Arquitectura Europea.
Recorridos de arquitectura por Europa
durante el periodo estival, incluyendo
sesiones regladas y visitas guiadas a
diversas capitales europeas
_ Taller Intensivo de Arquitectura en
una ciudad extranjera, combinando
clases teóricas, prácticas y visitas
guiadas
_ Prácticas de verano en estudios y
empresas internacionales
Tutoría personalizada en inglés por un
profesor de la Escuela, que seguirá el avance
y desarrollo del programa durante toda la
carrera en la Escuela
Para obtener el Global Architecture Program
será necesario haber cursado todas las
actividades formativas propuestas por el
programa durante los periodos lectivos, así
como haber desarrollado un mínimo de
experiencia internacional durante los
periodos no lectivos

The program comprises two types of activities:
• Education during the academic year
(in addition to architectural training)
_ One International Seminar per
academic year for the first four years;
each seminar will run for 10 hours

_ English for Professional Practice,
taken for at least the first three years
of the program, this subject offers
in-depth practice in oral and written
skills in English, as well as the technical
vocabulary used in the field of
architecture
_ Professional and Work Skills, a
seminar-workshop to facilitate access
to the workforce: portfolio design, CV
writing, interview techniques, etc.
_ International Project Workshop, offered
through English in the fifth year of the
degree program at the School of
Architecture, led by internationally-
renowned professors
_ Supervised Final Year Project in
English, in conjunction with practical
work experience in an international
studio

QUALIFICATION
El proceso formativo del arquitecto del siglo XXI se
encuentra indisociablemente unido al fenómeno de la
globalización. El desarrollo tecnológico y la creciente
internacionalización de los estudios y empresas de
arquitectura, hacen necesario abordar el futuro de la
profesión desde una perspectiva nueva.
Consecuentemente, también la formación de los
estudiantes de arquitectura debe plantearse desde
una óptica distinta, amplia y abierta, que permita
aportar soluciones válidas a las necesidades
planteadas por la sociedad actual, tanto en el ámbito
local como en un contexto global.
Para dar una respuesta específica a estos nuevos
requerimientos, la Escuela de Arquitectura de la
Universidad de Navarra ha puesto en marcha el
GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM. Se trata de un
título propio cuya oferta formativa complementa a la
del Grado en Arquitectura y que pretende formar
arquitectos altamente cualificados para desarrollar su
trabajo en un mundo globalizado.
El GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM se compone
de una serie de actividades integradas en los diversos
cursos de la carrera, que tienen lugar tanto en la
propia Escuela de Arquitectura como fuera de ella. Así,
junto a clases de inglés oral y escrito específico para
arquitectos, talleres de competencias profesionales o
seminarios sobre distintos aspectos de la disciplina
arquitectónica impartidos por arquitectos de prestigio,
se ofrecen también actividades en el extranjero, como
cursos de verano o periodos de formación y prácticas
en estudios. De este modo, se consigue que los
alumnos adquieran una experiencia directa de la
cultura y práctica arquitectónicas en otros países, y
que puedan desenvolverse con solvencia en esos
nuevos ámbitos. En definitiva, el programa ofrece la
formación necesaria para poder desarrollar la
actividad profesional en estudios y empresas de
arquitectura de gran alcance tanto en España como
en el extranjero.
The education and training of architects in the 21st
century is inextricably bound up with the reality of
globalization. In light of technological advances and
the growing internationalization of higher education,
the future of architecture as a profession must be
addressed from a new perspective. Likewise, the
training offered to architecture students should also
be framed from a different, more open and
wide-ranging point of view, enabling the provision of
effective solutions to the challenges facing
contemporary society at local and global levels.
The School of Architecture at the University of
Navarra has set up the GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE
PROGRAM to meet these emerging needs. This
university-awarded qualification is designed to
complement the education provided on the Degree in
Architecture program; its goal is to train
highly-qualified architects to work successfully in a
globalized world.
The GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE PROGRAM comprises a
set of activities incorporated into each academic year
of the degree program, based in the School of
Architecture and beyond. In addition to effective
English-language speaking and writing skills for
architects, workshops on professional competences
and seminars about architectural matters led by
renowned experts in the field, overseas activities are
also on offer, such as summer courses, training
programs and work-experience placements. Thus,
students may have first-hand experience of the
architectural culture and practices in other countries,
furthering their professional development in new
contexts. In short, students on the Global Architecture
Program may avail of the opportunity to carry out
their professional activity in major architecture
studios and firms in Spain and abroad.
