February In Review:
We’ve got a number of lodge events
coming this year, and if February is
anything to judge by, we’re in for a
treat. Our February focus was …
The Magic Flute:
R.W. Brother Philippe Milgrom gave a
wonderful lecture on not only the
initiatory symbolism within Brother
Mozart’s famous opera, but a history of
Venice and the Masonic and esoteric
culture in Mozart’s day.
We followed up the lecture with a
viewing of an avant-garde and
amazingly well sung version of the
opera performed by the LA Opera in a
1927 silent movie motif. It was far
from ordinary, and quite well done.

The Spirit of Hiram, a dramatic
interpretation of our Master Mason
degree is being performed by Pasadena
Scottish Rite March 11th at 7:30pm
at the Pasadena Scottish Rite Hall .
Open to Master Masons ONLY, this
rare presentation is sure to provide
both a wonderful evenings
entertainment as well as a chance for
serious reflection and further light in
