ADDITIONAL FUNDS BASKET RAFFLE
• Solicit local business for donations of gift cards, gift certificates and products for the baskets.
• Once all donations are received, group items together into baskets that have a face
value of $100 or more. For example, if the Aronoff provides show tickets, add a downtown
restaurant certificate and a salon gift certificate to create a “night on the town” basket.
• Raffle items could also include game-worn polo jerseys of the players.
• Display baskets during the event, with buckets in front to collect tickets.
SAMPLE DONOR PROPOSAL LETTER
DEVELOPMENT OF DATABASE Identified potential donors from local businesses, or those with headquarters in the
Cincinnati area.
Encouraged donations of gift cards, or experiences for a basket raffle.
We targeted experiences that would appeal to a broad audience.
Emphasized the benefit of having their product or service associated with BowTie
Cause, and the potential for new business from the basket raffle winners.
