Projects are initiated and coordinated by EIT RawMaterials PartnersR&D Project consortium: minimum of 3 Partners from at least 2 countries and representing 2 sides of knowledge triangleConsortia open to Task Partners (not regular members of EIT RawMaterials community) – contributing either with a part of the solution or as a market representative, with funding limited to 60 k€/ySuccess rate last year: 30% Upscaling ‐ 50% Education – 75% RIS/INTEREIT (KAVAs) / non EIT (KCAs) ratio: 25‐75% for upscaling; 50‐50% for the othersFunding rate for KAVAs: 90% for upscaling; 100% for the others
1∙ Competitive calls for projects
• Innovation projects based on validated technologies that may be accelerated toward the market • Additional step(s) for up‐scaling, demonstration or implementation ‐> FROM TRL 5 TO TRL 7• Market introduction and/or a commercial use within 3 years (or less) after the end of project. • Aim to have an educational component, for example, including PhD and/or Masters projects, internships, contribution to courses, etc
• Proposals for Upscaling projects should demonstrate financial and non‐financial backflows to the KIC, as well as contribute to specific KPIs of the KIC
• Bottom up approach in the 6 themes• Relevance for the KIC / Raw Material sector• Size:
• large size (total budget of € 2‐5 million) • medium size (total budget of € 1‐2 million) • small (total budget below € 1 million)
