Executive Summary
In this project An Analytical study of FDI in India (with reference to Whirpool in India), the
major objectives were to study the impact of FDI in India and how much employment increases
while FDI comes in country
Chapter I: In the first chapter, detailed description of profile of Whirlpool has been discussed. It
also include company profile, logo, nature of the company its mission, vision & value of the
company product range of Whirlpool, size of the company, market share, present leadership,
SWOT analysis. It also incorporates the objectives, the scope, the methodology, statistical tools
and technique used and the hypothesis statements for the study.
Chapter II: In the second chapter, the literature review is given which includes the diverse
studies and researches already done on this topic. It also incorporates the theoretical description
of the concepts applied in the project. Few research paper summaries in this chapter.
Chapter III: The third chapter incorporates the data presentation and analysis part. In this data
is collected through standard questionnaire which is filled by various respondents also the
correlation & regression technique has applied to find out the result among the two variables.
Chapter IV: Fourth chapter incorporates the correlation statistic between the two indicates a
positive correlation. This chapter also includes certain limitation under which the project was
undertaken and the scope for further study on this topic.
Chapter V: In fifth chapter, some recommendations are suggested like more focus should be on
country and what techniques are for investment.
