Rationale for the Project• There is an increasing demand for learning brokerage to support demand led education.
• This service is currently provided by a wide range of organisations (EBLOs).
• The DCSF was keen that all EBLOs undertake CPD linked to performance standards.
• The DCSF funded this project at The University of Wolverhampton.

Recommended CPD Strands• Strand 1:
CPD for learning brokerage linking education & world of work.
• Strand 2: CPD for those involved in the governance of EBLOs
• Strand 3: CPD for those conducting self assessments, peer reviews, and quality assurance.
Individuals are encouraged undertake CPD from more than one Strand

The development and recognition of the Practitioner will:• Provide a pool of experienced & certificated practitioners able to:
Visit and conduct peer reviews of EBLOs Mentor CPD participants Promote and evidence parity of standards across the network Identify and disseminate best practice

Further Developments
• A new professional body – The Institute for Education Business Excellence (IEBE) was established in 2009.
• The WBL framework developed in this project is included in the IEBE prospectus as a route for CPD.
