The first significant step of the SH&E integration

process for all sites is Risk Profiling; this was

done at Essen in June 2007.

Risk Profiling identifies the significant risks for a

given site and the associated highest priority

SH&E model procedures to be applied (that is,

the core and critical model procedures).

After Risk Profiling, the introduction of the core

and critical model procedures commences such

that the relative highest SH&E risks on site are

addressed as a matter of priority.

Core model procedures currently being translated

in their entirety into German, in cooperation with

OMS at Wuergendorf.

The Traffic and forklift truck management model procedures introduced first at Essen

» Detailed & comprehensive traffic and forklift truckrisk assessment conducted;

» A number of actions identified, some have already

been implemented by the site (new barriers installed on main road to G3, line markings at various locations, planning for road widening project outside the capsules plant).

JSERA (Job Safety Environment Risk Analysis) and Clearance to Work model procedures introduced in early 2008, both systems have been adopted extremely well by the site.

Remainder of 2008 calendar year: further refinement of previously introduced highest priority model procedures, as well as the introduction of the remaining core model procedures (in accordance with the original SH&E integration project plan).

Next level of priority model procedures to be introduced from 2009.
