A Message from Jay and Kenny
It is difficult to imagine, but we have already exceeded three months without in-person gatherings at First Baptist Church due to COVID-19. When we made the call to end in-person gatherings on Friday, March 13th, we had hoped that we would be gathered together again by Mother’s Day. However, with continued escalation in Coronavirus cases and Montgomery being considered a “Hot Spot,” this was not the case. We continue to pray for all our lead-ers and that God will send this virus back to the pit of hell, where it belongs. In the coming days, you will be seeing information regarding Re-Gathering together at our beloved church. As soon as our leadership teams see encouraging trends in numbers, we will be sharing precise dates and times for regathering and what regathering will look like at FBC. However, while you will be permitted to gather for wor-ship, we are not encouraging nor suggesting that everyone needs to do so. We sincerely urge each person to take the best precautions you can for your own health and safety. This is especially true for our readers of the JOY Journal. If you are considered in the high-risk category of CDC guidelines, we wish to recommend caution and perhaps waiting a bit longer before returning. Our hope is that you will not feel compelled to attend in person, or that you would feel guilty if you stay home. Our broadcast and online services will continue, just as they are now. Should you decide to worship on campus, please take all the nec-essary precautions for high-risk persons. Please know that we love you and you are an extremely valuable part of the body of Christ at First Baptist Church. It is because we love you that we wanted to reiterate your need to think of your own health and safety as a priority during these days. Should you have any need at all, do not hesitate to call one of us at any time! Jay (334-546-8786) or Kenny (334-354-4055).
You are loved, prayed for, and appreciated, Jay and Kenny
