In her article Choosing iPad Apps With a Purpose, she breaks down steps for finding apps that will be beneficial for students in the classroom.

Step 1:
Be able to identify the learning objective that you want to focus on.

Step 2:
Pick out 10 apps that targets what you are looking for and then take time to review them .

Step 3:
Identify the standards that you want your apps to align with.

Step 4:
Identify the limitations of your students and the essential features that will be needed in order to meet the needs of your students.

Step 5:
Choose apps by creating a tool such a table to evaluate apps.

Step 6:
The next step is to think about your students that have IEP and make sure that their needs and goals are being met.

Step 7:
When you go back to your classroom make sure that you model the apps that you want your children to use so that they have a since of comfort using the iPad and the apps on it.
