eInfochips' IPNetCam is a Smart IP Surveillance Camera
Reference Design based on TI DaVinci™ technology. Based on
TMS320DM6446, IPNetCam is a ready-to-go solution, fully
enabled for intelligent surveillance applications with features
like object detection and classification.
It offers OEMs a complete hardware and software package
needed to design Smart IP Surveillance solutions with a variety
of advanced features. The camera form factor hardware is
optimized for BOM and features all the necessary interfaces.
The software is compliant to DaVinci™ XDM framework. Based
on Linux operating system the software supports Dual Mode
Encoding and ObjectVideo OnBoard™ Algorithm for content
analysis.

Features
IPNetCam incorporates a highly sensitive 3 Megapixel, 1/2”
Progressive Scan CMOS sensor with Electronic Rolling Shutter
(ERS) and Global Reset Release (GRR). It supports Electronic
PTZ, White Balance, Day/Night and Image Scaling features.
CMOS Sensor
Leveraging the advanced video & image processing features
offered by DaVinci technology, IPNetCam supports three
compression formats: H.264, MPEG4 and JPEG allowing users
to choose the appropriate combination of encoding to match
the network environment and monitoring applications.
It supports D1, VGA, QCIF and CIF resolutions with 30 FPS
performance for all the compression formats. With triple
streaming feature, one JPEG and two MPEG4 images can be
streamed simultaneously.
Dual Mode Encoding & Triple Streaming
Feature-rich GUI
IPNetCam has a user friendly web based GUI accessible through
browser. It enables remote viewing, controlling and configuring the
camera. Some of the features of the UI include:

formats, audio/ video settings and more
IPNetCam supports ObjectVideo OnBoard technology, a market proven solution for video content
analysis. This allows Rules-based object detection and classification for any suspicious activity in the

With SD interface, IPNetCam supports SD memory cards for local storage. SD cards allow pre-post
event video recording for short durations. User can store JPEG compressed video on the SD card.
IPNetCam provides the user with option to select the encoding format for video compression for
