Preface
The MBA degree course has its own distinguished and unique solidarity. As a part of the course curriculum the 1st-
Semester MBA studies require to prepare a group project for the practical studies. For this project report we are
required to do an analysis on any particular industry by gathering and analyzing primary and secondary data.
After a great deal of efforts, we got the opportunity to meet Mr. P Shah , Deputy Manager (HR), Doshion Veolia
Water Solutions. She has given a great deal of knowledge that is all the practical derivations of our theoretical
knowledge. We have tried our best to summarize that knowledge in this project.
The objective behind this research and this report is to understand the practical approach of in an

Objective of project
The purpose of this study is to measure the attitude and job satisfaction of employees who worked in Doshion Veolia
Water Solution. The objective of the study is classified into primary and secondary objective as they are follows,
Primary objective
The primary Objective of this study the attitude and job satisfaction level of employees and to suggest measures,
which might be help the organization in improving the Job satisfaction among the people.

To understand the level of employee Satisfaction and factors which make the employees desirable in the

Scope of study:
The development of any of the organization is mainly depending on the satisfaction level of the employees so that
they can perform well in the organization.
The company can analyze the level of employee satisfaction in their organization.
The company can improve the working conditions, environment and other policies to satisfy the employees
based on the based on the result of my survey.
They can implement my valuable suggestion to overcome many problems faced by the organization.
We can understand how actually an organization works and can get more insight on the concept of job

Introduction of Attitude and Job satisfaction.
Why is it important to know an individuals values? Although they do not have a direct impact on
behavior, values strongly influence a persons attitudes. Knowledge of an individuals valuesystem can provide insight into his/her attitudes.
Given that peoples values differ, managers can use the Rokeach Value Survey to assess potential
employees and determine if their values align with the dominant values of the organization. An
employees performance and satisfaction are likely to be higher if his/her values fit well with the
organization. For instance, the person who places high importance on imagination, independence,
and freedom is likely to be poorly matched with an organization that seeks conformity from its
employees. Managers are more likely to appreciate, evaluate positively, and allocate rewards to
employees who fit in, and employees are more likely to be satisfied if they perceive that they do
fit. This argues for management to strive during the selection of new employees to find jobcandidates who not only have the ability, experience, and motivation to perform, but also a value
system that is compatible with the organizations.
Managers should be interested in their employees attitudes because attitudes give warnings of
potential problems and because they influence behavior. Satisfied and committed employees, for
instance, have lower rates of turnover and absenteeism. Given that managers want to keep
resignations and absences downespecially among their more productive employeesthey will
want to do those things that will generate positive job attitudes.
Managers should also be aware that employees will try to reduce cognitive dissonance. More
importantly, dissonance can be managed. If employees are required to engage in activities that
appear inconsistent to them or are at odds with their attitudes, the pressures to reduce the resulting
dissonance are lessened when the employee perceives that the dissonance is externally imposed
and is beyond his/her control or if the rewards are significant enough to offset the dissonance.
Job satisfaction describes how content an individual is with his or her job. It is a relatively recent
term since in previous centuries the jobs available to a particular person were often predetermined
by the occupation of the persons parent. There are a variety of factors that can influence a
persons level of job satisfaction. Some of these factors include the level of pay and benefits, the
perceived fairness of the promotion system within a company, the quality of the working
condition, leadership and social relationships, the job itself (the variety of tasks involved, the
interest and challenges the job generates, and clarity of the job descriptive/requirements).

Workers' Roles in Job Satisfaction
If job satisfaction is a worker benefit, surely the worker must be able to contribute to his or her
own satisfaction and well-being on the job. The following suggestions can help a worker findpersonal job satisfaction:
Seek opportunities to demonstrate skills and talents. This often leads to more challenging work and
greater responsibilities, with attendant increases in pay and other recognition.

Assuring Job Satisfaction
Assuring job satisfaction, over the long term, requires careful planning and effort both by
management and by workers. Managers are encouraged to consider such theories as
Herzberg's(1957) and Maslow's (1943) Creating a good blend of factors that contribute to a
stimulating, challenging, supportive, and rewarding work environment is vital. Because of the
relative prominence of pay in the reward system, it is very important that salaries be tied to job
responsibilities and that pay increases be tied to performance rather than seniority. So, in essence,
job satisfaction is a product of the events and conditions that people experience on their jobs. Brief
(1998) wrote: "If a person's work is interesting, her pay is fair, her promotional opportunities are
good, her supervisor is supportive, and her coworkers are friendly, then a situational
approach leads one to predict she is satisfied with her job" (p. 91). Very simply put, if the pleasures
associated with one's job outweigh the pains, there is some level of job satisfaction

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY:
However we had tried our best in collecting the relevant information for our research report, yet
there are always some problems faced by the researcher. The prime difficulties which we face incollection of information are discussed below:-
1. Short time period:The time period for carrying out the research was short as a result of which many facts
have been left unexplored.
2. Lack of resources:
Lack of time and other resources as it was not possible to conduct survey at large level.
3. Small no. of respondents:

4. Unwillingness of respondents:While collection of the data many consumers were unwilling to fill the
questionnaire. Respondents were having a feeling of wastage of time for them.
5. Small area for research:The area for study was, which is quite a small area to judge job satisfaction level.
The study is conducted only in DOSHION VEOLIA WATER SOLUTION.
Due to the limitation of the time the research could not be made more detailed.
Due to confidentiality of some information accurate response was not revealed by some ofthe respondents.
Some of the replies of the respondents may be biased.
Respondents had marked the answer in questionnaires which may be socially incorrect irrespectiveof their actual feelings.

Findings
The success of every organization depends on the employee is satisfied the most the performance
will be up to the satisfactory level. Here most of the employees are having satisfaction of theirwork.Job can be always performed to a satisfactory level, if all the adequate information is available to
the employees. Here most of the employees are satisfied with the channel of the communication &
information low with team work & cooperation any difficulty work can be done with ease. Butthere is little ambiguity present in the employees about communication to the superiors/supervision
in the work place.
Employees are not completely satisfied with their job although their salary is good enough.
Employees are not getting value to their work.
Most of employees think that they are not on their actual path.
Most of the employees think that the organization havent fulfill their promises, what they
do in beginning especially regarding Promotion.
There is negatively comparison between peers especially regarding targets.

SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
After conducting a study on job satisfaction among the employees at DOSHION VEOLIA
WATER SOLUTION. We have identified some facts based on questionnaire & interview. Thismay help the company to increase the satisfaction level of employees.To increase the job satisfaction level of the employees the company should concentrate mainly on
the incentive and reward structure rather than the motivational session.
Ideal employees should concentrate on their job.
Educational qualification can be the factor of not an effective job.
Company should give promotion to those employees who deserves.
Training programs should be conducted for both personal as well as technical development.
Management should recognize talent and encourages them to grow in the organization.
Use scientific methods to align jobs this will improve the satisfaction level in case of work
load.
Reduce working hours at least by 30min t 1 hour to motivate the employees.
To provide more currier opportunity promotion promotional policy should be restructured.
Follow more open door communication policy.
Organize trips, family meet and fun gams at work.
Use modern machines, sanitation etc. to improve the physical environment
Give more attention for performance linked pay structure
Adopt modern technology which is highly competitive Performance based rewards and recognitions
Organization can try and increase the level of workers participation in decision making.
More attention should be given for overall development of employees welfare facilities.
Organization can motivate individual through proper counseling and guidance

Conclusion
Job satisfaction is a positive approach about ones job resulting from an evaluating of its
characteristic. Job satisfaction represents an attitude rather than behavior. They believe thatsatisfies employees are more productive than dissatisfied has been a basic tenet. A person with ahigh level of job satisfaction holds positive feelings about the job. When People speak of the
employee attitude more often than not they mean job satisfaction.
Findings and suggestion are based on the survey conducted and these points are to be looked into
and steps are to be taken in this regard for higher growth.
It is very tough job for HR department to ensure job satisfaction among staff. Employee wil not be
just happy with pay cheque, a good position and prestige.
They also want a constant feeling of wellbeing, demand better work & family life balance, andlook to the organization for fulfilling even their community needs. These highlighted expectations
result in dissatisfaction, and finds true job happiness remains an unfulfilled dream all the job
hopping not withstand.
From the analysis we conclude that the job provides the opportunity to the employees to exercise
his/her at work place. Number of the employees accepted that at times there is a considerableflexibility in co-coordinating with work and they are satisfied with existing interpersonal
communication. In DOSHION VEOLIA WATER SOLUTION they follow the systematic
planning and review process to evaluate the performance of employee.
From analysis it was also observed that was there is a scope for the improvement of workingcondition in DOSHION VEOLIA WATER SOLUTION. Salary package would hike so that it can
be in par with market rate.
Thus the overall job satisfaction of employees at DOSHION VEOLIA WATER SOLUTION is
very high. The employees at DVWS have a very good high regard and respect towards thecompanys image and future of the organization. Finally I would like to conclude that the
