CASE STUDY - CHAINLINK SECURITY FENCING
Steelway Fensecure was approached by a long standing customer who hadbeen invited to tender for the anti-intruder security fencing to JerseyAirport. Working with our partners in Jersey, The Fencing Centre, we hadalready successfully supplied the fencing for the Fuel Farm and AlphaTaxiway at Jersey Airport and it was our expertise gained from theseprojects and others including Gibraltar Airport that enabled us to provide adurable fencing system with bespoke crash gates at a competitive cost.
Peter at The Fencing Centre had the following to say: “The Fencing Centre won the contract to install 5.5Km of anti-intrudersecurity fencing to BS1722 Part 10 together with associated access,pedestrian and crash gates at Jersey Airport in 2009. Our tender was wonagainst stiff competition based on the materials being manufactured andsupplied by Steelway Fensecure Ltd. Throughout the tender process, thelead in time to the contract and installation on site itself, Steelway Fensecureprovided a thoroughly professional, friendly and efficient service. Thelogistics of the contract required the fencing to be manufactured, shippedand delivered in phases. Each phase Steelway Fensecure delivered on timedespite late and changing requirements from the client. On the rareoccasion where problems occurred, they were resolved without drama ordelays. Two years on and despite Jersey Airports’ severe marineenvironment, the fencing looks in superb condition and we have been leftwith a very satisfied client.”
