FPS Funding

• FPS is funded on a fully reimbursable basis through the collection of monies in three different ways:

• Security fees charged as part of the rent paid to GSA. For FY10, this rate is set at $0.66 per square foot and funds FPS’ main responsibilities.

• Facility-specific charges for countermeasures utilized in Federal facilities. These costs are paid by tenants directly to FPS.

• Tenant-specific charges for countermeasures utilized specific to a single tenant in a multi-tenant facility. These charges are paid by the tenant directly to FPS.
