Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Beloved Church Family,
This is the weekend of Mardi Gras, which means
the Lenten Season is upon us. First, I would like to
know you had a great week. Did you watch the Su-
per Bowl? Of course you did—smile—. Second, as
your pastor, I am begging you to be very prudent and
vigilant during this important time. It is a time of
joy, fun and a time to be with family and friends.
Indeed, as you enjoy this Mardi Gras season, watch
your surroundings. So, I wish you a Mardi Gras
filled with blessings, fun, and joy. Finally, after
Mardi Gras is Ash Wednesday which marks the be-
ginning of the Lenten Season. Let us pray that this
Lenten Season may be a time of spiritual growth in-
dividually and collectively as a parish, a time of re-
newal, and a time of maturity when it comes to our
relationship with Jesus, as we take the journey with
Him on the road to Galvary.
This weekend, in the Gospel, the man suffering
with leprosy says to Jesus: “If you wish, you can
make me clean”. In touching him, Jesus says: “I will
do it”. If today He is passing by you, what would
you want to say to Him? Where do you want to be
touched? So tell Him, He can and He will do it.
May you have a week filled with blessings and may
you have a chance to catch the passing of Jesus as He
moves toward your way— Be on alert and watchful
because, He is the same Jesus.
Very Rev. Oswald P. Pierre-Jules, Jr., S.S. J., V.F
In observance of Mardi Gras, the parish office
will close Tuesday, February 13th and reopen
Thursday, February 15th. Happy Mardi Gras!

Nadine Ancar
Parish Secretary
For almost over seven years, Nadine has been devoted and
committed to serve our parish as the parish secretary. Whether
the pastor is away or in the parish, she has played a vital role in
the life of the parish. Indeed, she has been a great collaborator
to the pastor. Moreover, Nadine has been involved in so many
things such as the weekend bulletin, of the parish, the day to
day operations of the parish, etc. We owe her our heartfelt
gratitude for her work as the secretary for the parish. Fr.
Oswald often says: “Without Nadine, he is lost”. Yes, Nadine
we thank you for your unwavering commitment to the parish.
