Our focus in Computing this term is Blogging.
Today you will learn what a blog is and what makes a good blog post on the internet!
Watch this youtube video explaining what a blog is.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjwUHXoi8lM
Because we are not at school at the moment, our blogs are not going to be public. It is so very important that our work and thoughts in a blog post are posted on a secure website with adult guidance and permission.
In our computing lessons we will learn about them, practice writing a few, and then someday we may get to create a class blog at school.
Activity
Make a mind map of everything you think a good blog needs and has.
You can use colours, images and any type of diagram you would like for your mind map.
Check: Does your mind map include any of these things?A Good Blog...-has correct spelling and punctuation
-has a theme or topic that the writing is about
-has a unique, catchy look
-includes photos or pictures
- is safe following internet safety rules and guidelines (like no personal informations)
-is interesting, entertaining and engaging for the reader
Well done today!
Remember to be kind to the Earth and grateful for what it gives us each day!
Have a goodevening!
