Forfixingtoaconcreteslabthatisgoingtobetiled,THESHOWERMUSTBEINSTALLEDANDCONNECTEDTOWATERSUPPLYBEFORETILING.
Installationstepsforfixingtoconcrete.Refertoimageswhererequired.Minimumsizedconcretepadis500mmx500mmx100mmthick.
1. Usinganormalthreadsealingtapeorcompound,screwthestainlesssteelplateontothebottomoftheshower,asfarasitwillgo.Thereshouldbenoplayormovementwhatsoeverbetweenthetwothreads.DoNOTcutthebottomofthebrassthreadafterthebaseplateisscrewedon.Theinternalthreadonthebaseplateissharpandglovesshouldbeusedforhandling.
2. Placetheshowerinpositionontheconcrete,withtheshowerarmfacingtherequireddirection.Intermsofdepth,youwillrequire60mmbelowtheundersideoftile(oranyotherfinishingmaterialforthesurroundingground)toensurethebaseplateoftheshoweriscompletelyconcealed.Ifaloosesubstrate,suchaspebblesisbeingusedforthesurroundingground,ensurethebaseplateandbrassthreadarelowenoughtobeconcealedbythefinishingmaterial.Ineithercase,itmaybenecessarytoremove(orchase)theconcrete.
3. Withtheshowerorientedintherequireddirection,marktheoutsideholesonthestainlesssteelbaseplateontheconcreteanddrill12mmholestoadepthof50-60mm.
4. Attachthe4piecesofthreadedrodtothebaseplateusingnutsandwashersasiftheyarethefourlegsofatable(Fig2),withthemaximumamountofrodprotrudingbelowthebaseplate.
5. Withoutusingadhesive,placetheshower,withthefourpiecesofthreadedrodintheirrespectiveholesintheconcrete.Settheheightofthebaseplate(usingthenutsandwashers)sothattheshowerislevelandthereisaminimumof30mmbetweentheconcreteandtheundersideofthestainlesssteel.

6. Removetheshowerandbaseplatefromtheholesandusingtwo15mmcopperelbows,extendthehotandcoldshowerpipes,suchthattheystickouthorizontallyfromtheundersideofthestainlesssteelbaseplate(Fig1.).Thesetwopipesshouldbeatleast200mmproudofthebaseplate.
7. andwhentheshowerisinposition,willendupbeinghorizontalandpositionedbetweentheconcreteandtheundersideofthestainlesssteel.
8. Usingconstructionadhesive,fixtheshowerintothe12mmholesaspertheinstructionsfortheadhesive(Chemsetorequivalentrecommended).Oncetheadhesivehascured,leveltheshowerwiththenutsandwashersandmakefinalplumbingconnectionstothesitehotandcoldwatersupply.Testallconnectionsbeforefinishingtradescommence.Thevoidontheundersideofthebaseplatecanbegroutedifpreferred.

Installationstepsforfixingtotimberdeck.
1. Usinganormalthreadsealingtapeorcompound,screwthestainlesssteelplateontothebottomoftheshower,asfarasitwillgo.Thereshouldbenoplayormovementwhatsoeverbetweenthetwothreads.DoNOTcutthebottomofthebrassthreadafterthebaseplateisscrewedon.Theinternalthreadonthebaseplateissharpandglovesshouldbeusedforhandling.
2. Placetheshowerinpositiononthedeck.Whenlocatingtheshower,bearinmindthefollowing:Thebaseofthe65mmpipeshouldbeovertwodeckingboardssuchthatthe75mmholefortheshowerpipeiscutacrosstwodeckingboards.Whenrefittingthedeckingboardsaftertheshowerisinplace,thiswillallowaboardtobeslidinoneachsideoftheshower.Enoughclearancefromtimberjoistsisalsorequiredforthe200mmbaseplate,underthedeck.
3. Installsufficienttimberblockingbetweenthetwojoistsatthelocationoftheshower,tosupporttheshowerwithoutanymovement.Thisblockingshouldbeaminimumof60mmbelowtheundersideofthedeckingboards.
4. Withtheshowerinpositionandorientedintherequireddirection,marktheoutsideholesonthestainlesssteelbaseplateonthetimberblockinganddrill12mmholesallthewaythroughtheblocking
5. Attachthe4piecesofthreadedrodtothebaseplateusingnutsandwashersasiftheyarethefourlegsofatable,withthemaximumamountofrodprotrudingbelowthebaseplate(Fig2).Twonutsandtwowashersarerequiredforeachthreadontheundersideofthebaseplate.Thisistosupportthebaseplateapprox.35mmabovethetimberblock.
6. Placetheshower,withthefourpiecesofthreadedrodintheirrespectiveholesinthetimber.Settheheightofthebaseplate(usingthenutsandwashers)sothattheshowerislevelandthereisaminimumof30mmbetweenthetimberblockingandtheundersideofthestainlesssteel.
7. Removetheshowerandbaseplatefromtheholesandusingtwo15mmcopperelbows,extendthehotandcoldshowerpipes,suchthattheystickouthorizontallyfromtheundersideofthestainlesssteelbaseplate(Fig1.).Thesetwopipesshouldbeatleast200mmproudofthebaseplateandwhentheshowerisinposition,willendupbeinghorizontalandpositionedbetweentheconcreteandtheundersideofthestainlesssteel.

8. Bolttheshowerintoposition,usingnutsandwashersontheundersideofthetimberblock.Leveltheshowerwiththenutsandwashersbetweenthebaseplateandthetimberblockandmakefinalplumbingconnectionstothesitehotandcoldwatersupply.Testallconnectionsbeforefinishingtradescommence.Thevoidontheundersideofthebaseplatecanbefilledifpreferred.Alternativemethodfortimberdeckfixing.Ifthereisenoughspacebelowthedecktomakeallplumbingconnectionsunderthetimberblocksupportingtheshower,a90mmholecanbedrilledinthetimberblocktoallowthehotandcoldpipestopassthroughthetimber.Thebaseplatecanthenbebolteddirectlytothetimberblockingandthefinalconnectionsmadeunderneaththetimber.
InstallationofTama,Lennox,DocklandsorBelongilshowerasawallmountedunit.Installationmustbecarriedoutbyalicensedplumber.Theseinstructionsareapplicablewherethehotandcoldwaterpipesexittheshoweratthebase.Pleasecontactusdirectlyiftheshoweryouareinstallinghasbeencustomisedsuchthatthewaterconnectionsareaboveground,attherearofthemain65mmpipe.Installerwillneedtosupplyconstructionadhesive(Chemsetorequivalentrecommended)Theshowermustbefixedtothewallandconnectedbeforefinalfinishesareinstalledonthegroundsurroundingthebaseoftheshower.1. Markfinishedgroundlevelonthewallattheshowerlocation.2. Positiontheshowersotheendsofthetwo20mmcopperspigotsattherearareresting
againstthewallandthebaseofthemain65mmpipeis5-10mmaboveFFL.3. Markthepositionofthespigotswiththeshowerpositionedlevelandplumb.The
spigotsshouldbeaminimum70mmlongandengagedintheholesinthewallaminimumof50mm.Spigotscanbeshortenedifrequired
4. Drill21mmholesaminimumof50mmdeepatthelocationofthespigots.5. Testthatthespigotsslideintotheholesreasonablyeasily.Adjustsizeofholesslightly,if
necessary.6. Blowalldustoutofdrillholesandfilltheholeswithadhesiveto15mmshortoftheface
ofthewall.7. Slidethespigotsintotheholestothepointatwhichthemain65mmpipeis20-25mm
awayfromthewall.Allowadhesivetocure.8. Makefinalconnectionstositewatersupplyandinstallshowerrose.
