System operators can monitor individual EV charger overall status and update EV charger software remotely which facilitate the long term maintenance and management. Additionally, system operators can add revenues by broadcasting multimedia commercials on EV chargers as well as adding video camcorder to remotely monitor/record for community crime prevention

Future Trend OutlookGlobal urban populations are expanding, and it’s estimated that in 2050, 66% of the global population will be living in cities. In order to reduce the growing problem of traffic congestion, governments of various nations are working with car manufacturers to implement smart services and ride-sharing by encouraging the use of electric vehicles. The global trend of reducing carbon emissions has also propelled the sales of EVs internationally, and in 2018 there may be over 3 million global EV sales. Taiwan’s sale of EVs has sustained a rate of over 8,000 vehicles, and it’s estimated that revenue from EVs will double from 2017 to 2025.
Through Phihong Technology’s globally renowned energy conversion technology, the company has successfully developed a series of highly efficient EV charging solutions. The company began its efforts on EV systems and chargers 5 years ago, and today Phihong is the charger supplier for Canada’s large electric buses. The company has also earned the acclaim of renowned car manufacturers and operators from China and Japan.
Phihong Technology is also working with many EV operators in Taiwan by partnering with Tesla, a well-known American EV manufacturer, and Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau to set up charging stations at Sun Moon Lake and other popular scenic locations. range charging voltages and 20/30kW high output power,
an ideal EV DC charger building block solution for high
power output EV DC charger. Phihong provides a 400W
auxiliary power supply with 5 DC outputs (5V/3A, 12V/0.5A,
12V/1.5A, 12V/30A, 24V/16.67A ) to work with this DC
charging module.

The 12V/1.5A DC output and 5V/3A DC output are used to power the CSU. The 12V/0.5A
DC output is used for connection detection at the charging gun connector. The 24V/16.67A
DC output is used to power the user interface touch panel computer (IPC) and by the BMS
of EV bus during EV bus charging. The 12V/30A DC output is to provide power for the BMS
of EV passenger car during charging.

CSU (Control & Supervisor Unit)Phihong recently introduced the highly efficient 20/30kW EV DC charging module. It provides
200~750V ultra wide range charging voltages and 20/30kW high output power, an ideal EV DC
charger building block solution for high power output EV DC charger. Phihong provides the
intelligent CSU (Control & Supervisor Unit) to work with this DC charging module and to link and
transmit data between EV, charging station, touch screen and cloud-based control centers. The
CSU meets all GB DC charging standards including communication, monitor, measurement,
protection, user interface, and providing data analysis for automakers and charger
manufacturers.

Phihong EV charging software solution includes both the front end mobile app and user interface (HMI) as well as the back end central office and cloud-based management, payment and monitoring platforms. Through the front end mobile app, people can search for nearby chargers, make charging appointments, and monitor charging status. The HMI user interface on the chargers provide interactive charging procedures and support various payment methods.
The back-end central office and cloud-based management, payment and monitoring system can monitor individual EV charger overall status and update EV charger software remotely which facilitate the long term maintenance and management.
