l Outstanding resistance to corrosion attack
l High hydrolysis resistance and mechanical properties
l High durability
l Excellent processing properties
Technical highlights
Epovia® OptimumHigh corrosion resistant Vinyl Esters
• High resistance to hydrolysis:The water can be diffused in an organic matrix like in a resin until a maximum value limit called saturation level is reached. The side figure shows the low level of water absorption in Vinyl Ester.
In addition, the saturation level of water in Vinyl Ester will stay stable longer compared to UP resins;

• Epovia® Optimum when compared to traditional vinyl ester, offers a high level of cure control and low reaction foam.This results in a far lighter color in liquid state, castings and laminates.
• All of this is achieved whilst maintaining the outstanding corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
• Epovia Optimum is easy to fabricate (easy control for gel time and exothermic temperature) for thin or thick laminates.

• Designed for high corrosion resistance to a range of acids, alkalis and solvents• High elongation with balanced mechanical properties• Widely used for contact molding, closed molding, pultrusion and filament winding
• Exceptional chemical resistance• Excellent heat resistance due to its high cross-linked backbone
• Offers the same chemical resistance as KRF-1001• Widely used to handle flammable liquids and mixture of hot gases in FRP ducts, scrubbers and stacks

• Special vinyl esters, such as low styrene content, rubber modified or primer are also available upon request.• Brookfield viscosity measured at 50 rpm at 23°C. Gel time: 1.5% K12 + 0.5% NL23 at 23°C. Mechanical properties are measured on pure resin, after post-curing (2 hours at 80°C and 1 hour at 120°C).
