RAISING KIDS WITH CONFIDENT FAITH IN A SECULAR WORLD
It’s no secret that large numbers of young people are leaving Christianity, in many cases due to
the faith challenges posed by today’s secular world. Unprepared for the claims they hear
against the truth of Christianity, they’re unable to respond and are left ashamed and confused.
This breakout will explain why teaching kids apologetics is a critical part of the solution, offer a
framework for defining what it means to teach kids apologetics, and give practical helps for doing
so.

why it’s important.

THREE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE
Every parent should want to raise good thinkers—kids who know how to think, not simply what
to think. Learning how to think is especially important given that kids today are being
bombarded with conflicting claims. This interactive session will: 1) introduce three of the most
important critical thinking skills kids should have in order to evaluate the claims they encounter,
and 2) give attendees the opportunity to apply those skills by responding to several practical
examples.
IS EVOLUTION REALLY SCIENTIFIC FACT?
Evolution is taught as fact in CA public schools. In fact, today students receive over 250 pages

WHAT KIDS WILL HEAR ABOUT CHRISTIANITY
There is no God. All religions are basically the same. Miracles are impossible. The Bible is
unreliable. These messages (and many more) are constantly being promoted by a secular world

first. This session will explain what you most need to understand about each of the “big 4”
challenges to faith today and how to effectively talk about them with your kids.
