SCHOLASTIC    FRIDAY  NIGHT  QUADS

 …Quad  competitions  are  a  great  place  to  make  new  friends  and  connect  with  other  players  at  a  similar  level  of  skill.    Quad  chess  tournaments  involve  a  group  of  four  chess  players  of  similar  abilities  playing  individual  games  of  chess  against  each  of  the  other  three  players.  Every  player  competes  in  a  total  of  three  games.      Date:   Alternate  Friday  evenings  or  as  posted  below  and  on  our  website  

 Registration:   Pre-­registration  is  required  via  on-­line  registration  on  our  website  at  

www.einsteinwise.com    

Time:   Check-­in  6:45  pm.  Play  from  7:00  PM  until  close  (around  9:00pm)    

Eligibility:   Open  to  all  scholastic  players  grades  K-­12    

Format:   Ratings-­balanced  Quads  (4  player  groups),  or  3  round  Swiss  (depending  on  turnout),  NWSRS  rated.    

Awards:   First  place  trophy  for  each  quad.  Everyone  else  gets  a  souvenir  for  participation.
