Echoes of drowning reflection
Composer tried to give the musical equivalent to the images, mentioned in the title of the piece that first of all reflected in the construction of the form. The piece consists of three fragments (apart from coda), the first and the third are an inexact reflection (as if in a distorting mirror) of each other: timbres, time signature, registers and texture changes follow the contours of the opposite section. The second section, from the middle of which repeat starts (or, in other words, an echo, a reflection), consists of two episodes, one of which is written in combination with a repeat, the other is written throughout. The number of the repeated measures in these episodes is different for different instruments, so the number of measures with a pause is signed:
In general, according to the author's message, each measure should be to some extent a self-contained world, reflected in the small and drowning fragments of broken mirror (it provokes a quick change of harmonies, timbres ...) At the same time all measures must be intertwined into the living ligature of echoes of each other. Also there are fragments of music in the first section, which are not related to the main material (for example, a fragment from the 19th measure). They are very mobile, texturally varied and expressive. In the third section, they have their mirror image – very quiet, without a definite pitch, almost monotimbre fragments (for example, starting with 87th or 91st measures). Both in the first and in the third section, these fragments are separated with a double barline.
