Drawing Workshop-Year Four 2006Week one

In the first week of studio year four students participated in a range of drawing exercises as a precursor to their principle project.

The first group of sketches are a record of a journey through the Northern Quarter, completed on site in an attempt to capture the sequential spatial and phenomenological character of this part of the city.

The final three sketches are a sample of an imaginative drawing exercise, in which students were asked to use mainstream classical, minimalist and drum and bass genres as a conceptual catalyst to design a space in which to listen to the music.
