Dollar a Month Fund is a non-profi t 501( c) 3 organization established in San Diego, California in 2003 for the purpose of doing charitable work for children in need around the world.
GoalsTo provide children and youth of the global community, particularly from underdeveloped countries the opportunity at a minimum a primary education and nourishment/health. Our hope is to involve and encourage the par-ticipation of all, in particular, the children and youth groups in this humanitarian endeavor. Our global projects are indicated on the back of this brochure.
Our efforts are in conjunction with the United Nation’s resolution “A world Fit for Children” which was unanimously signed on May 2002 by the members of the UN to improve the lives of children around the world.
BudgetTo achieve our goals, we ask for your pledge of a minimum of $1 per month, per family member. Your gift is tax deductible in accor-dance with law.
Our budget is supplemented through gifts/pledges and funds raised from various events.
OrganizationThe Fund is overseen by a four to ten member Board of Directors, which meets on a regu-lar basis to plan and review the needs of the Fund. All Board members volunteer their time and resources without any compensation.
DMF’s newest and upcoming “Project 200” is for the welfare of 200 street children in Tehran in conjunction with Society for Protecting The Right of the Child (SPRC) (Hemayat az Hog-hogh e Kodakan) . This project will entail daily education (classroom participation) with a daily meal, health examinations and fi eld trips for the children for one year.
